Welcome to Freely Thinking

  • Sheldon Wolin (1922-2015)
Inverted totalitarianism is different from classical forms of totalitarianism. It does not find its expression in a demagogue or charismatic leader but in the faceless anonymity of the corporate state. Our inverted totalitarianism pays outward fealty to the facade of electoral politics, the Constitution, civil liberties, freedom of the press, the independence of the judiciary, and the iconography, traditions and language of American patriotism, but it has effectively seized all of the mechanisms of power to render the citizen impotent.

Climate Change – Facts Please

These four short videos were produced by my friends at Suspicious0bervers.

Global warming, also referred to as climate change, is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of the Earth’s climate system and its related effects.  Climate change is real—but not in the way you’ve been told.

Understanding Progressive Logic

What logic drives postmodernist social justice warriors and why they react the way they do?  This post is my interpretation of arguments made by Dr. Jordan Peterson.

Vaccines: Get the Full Story

This ‘Letter to the Editor’ is in response to the Clayton Tribune August 25th article Health Office: Imperative children have vaccines by Tommy Culkin.  It was never published or acknowledged by the Clayton Tribune.   The information directly below comes from the International Medical Council on Vaccination. Doctors are conditioned to ignore the relationship between illness and…

I believe unlimited energy flows to me & through me. I believe I am surrounded by unlimited abundance. I believe these things created me. I believe my presence makes the world better. I believe I am in the world to create the things I want to experience. I believe thanks & gratitude create beauty all…

Climate Change Is Real

Earth’s climate has definitely been changing. Too bad the IPCC (Inter-government Panel on Climate Change) is only focusing on man made CO2. Our so called “global warming” trend appears to be a re-occurring 100,000 year cycle. Normal earth weather appears to be much colder—75%—of the time. Oops!

Creating a Competitive Market for Justice

A restitution based system is simply more effective than stand-alone rehabilitation and punishment. Focusing on restitution leads to private investment in an incentive based criminal justice system. The net result is more justice, cheaper justice, and higher quality justice.

No More!

Pay no attention to what politicians say. Simply look at what they have done and continue to do.

Century of Incompetence

We are moving toward a very real financial and socialist bankruptcy. Centralized command and control societies do not work. The evidence for this is abundant, yet most citizens fail to see it or choose to ignore it. The so-called checks and balances designed by our Founding Fathers do not exist any longer. Our national government is consuming civil society and you need to understand how this trend began.

Moral Control

The state and county are the least qualified to pass moral judgment. It is—THEY—who use force or the threat of force to legally steal private property. Please recall how Gwinnett Commissioners used coercive condemnation law to force private property owners to hand over property when they didn’t want to sell.

Cut The Fat

The US government must be running out of socialist projects. The Food and Drug Administration has teamed up with Health and Human Services to worry about what and how much we eat. The Nanny State has truly arrived. If this campaign succeeds, both agencies have said they will consider consolidation under the cabinet heading DMMI, the Department of Mother May I.

None of the Above

We need a way to speak to government without violence. The usual stuff doesn’t work. We need a way to get rid of the liars and thieves short of exercising our God given right to defend ourselves with tar, feathers, and shotguns. Please share this request for a Constitutional Convention and proposed Amendment with your state representatives and Governor. It’s time to stop the theft, the lies, and the fraud.

Gwinnett County Smoking Ban

What makes property–private–instead of public? My assumption has been that private property is owned by an individual, a family, or a business; and that public property is owned by the county, city, state, or federal government. Let me know if you disagree.

According to Form

Government never works well in practice. The only incentive that elected government employees have is to steal as much as possible from the few in order to provide free goodies to favored majorities or those that keep them in power. Every politician uses words like freedom, prosperity, and justice; but their actions create theft, poverty, and dependence.

U. S. Purchasing Power Decline

Without money, there would be very little exchange and the standard of living would be much lower than it is today. Without money, trade could only occur through barter. Bartering shoes for a used automobile would be difficult. It would take 200 pair of $50 shoes to purchase a $10,000 used automobile. I doubt the owner of the automobile would want or need 200 new pair of shoes. People invented money to store value and to facilitate the exchange of goods and services. My surplus output is transferred into money, which is then used to purchase your surplus output. Money fixes the “indivisibility” problem of trading shoes for automobiles.

Government Mismanagement

Self-righteous posturing from Washington politicians is comical. They frighten us with stories of corporate greed, accounting irregularities, lost investments, and criminal businessmen and women. They demand restitution and justice when talking about Enron, WorldCom, Global Crossing, and Martha Stewart. They never mention………
